SSI SPECIALTY DIVER
OPEN WATER WEEKENDS
LEVEL II CERTIFICATION
LAKE FRANCIS CASE, PICKSTOWN SD

As a new diver or old veteran the SPECIALTY DIVER
CLASSES are a great way to learn new diving tech-
niques and have a great time applying them during a
diving outing.
The SSI SPECIALTY DIVER program is offered as a
home study class. Where you will need time to watch the
video and read each class manual before the evening of
theory class. The second and most fun part of the class
will be two days of diving at Lake Francis Case. During
this exciting weekend of diving and fun you and five other
adventure divers will complete the open water require-
ments for your SSI SPECIALTY DIVER certification.
The three SPECIALTY classes that will be covered are:
Limited Visibility Night Diving, Boat Diving and Ad-
vanced NAVIGATION. There are several other classes
that could also be offered on this weekend if you would
like, ask for options.

Included in this special weekend is transportation, one
night lodging, lunch on the water, five supervised dives
with Instructor and Divecon aboard the custom 24' dive
boat "SCUBA SPEARIT" all tanks and air fills.
SSI SPECIALTY DIVER C-CARD and DIPLOMA.
To help you plan for your dives, here are some things
to remember: we only take 6-SPECIALTY DIVER stu-

dents per weekend and spaces are filled on a first signed
up deposit paid basis. Rental equipment is also re-
served on a first come first reserve basis. So if you plan
to rent equipment come into the store at least a week
before departure to try on and reserve all of your
equipment, pay your final class payment and equipment
rental. Special pieces of equipment that you will
need to do the dives: an underwater slate with a
pencil on a rubber lanyard ( this is used for the
navigation class to record compass headings and to
communicate with your buddy). For the night dive
you will need a whistle, primary dive light and a tank
marker light.

NOT INCLUDED in the trip or class cost: personal diving
equipment that you will need to buy or rent, SSI SPE-
CIALTY MANUALS & DVD's, BUY THEM SEPARATELY, breakfast and diner.
