"B-Production
racer"
1962 saw the last year of the original Corvette-body, on which
the annual facelifts already had left their traces. And the
same year saw the Corvettes emancipation from its roots
in mass production and laid the foundation for the reputation
as competitive american sportscar. The powerful V8 could be
ordered with up to 360hp, and with a flick of the wrist, the
car could be morphed into a serious competition vehicle. SCCAs
champions drove Corvettes in the A- and B-Productionseries in
that year.

"A
legend at work"
The E-Types origin from Motorsport-success-story D-Type
is obvious, but didnt lead to comparable results - and
didnt have to, the car looked already like frozen at sonic
speed when parked! Front engine, narrow track and high point
of gravity are very challenging features - still, cats are brought
to the circuits worldwide by their owners to re-live the feeling
of the sixties.
