The variety and complexity of diving equipment has increased
dramatically. Today's diver must have thorough training
in equipment placement, adjustment, use and field repair.
Equipment designed to increase safety and comfort can lead
to serious diving problems if it is not adjusted and used
correctly.
Equipment techniques and specialized equipment course is
designed to be accomplished in three sessions. Two lecture
sessions and one open water class. This is a hands on class
for you to learn the function of your diving equipment,
to do minor field repairs on equipment, as well as see what
is under the hood, so to speak, of your diving equipment.
This class is not designed to make you a repair technicians
but rather a trouble shooter in the field. For the open
water part of the class we will use specialty equipment
such as the BUDDY COM-communications system, lift bags,
diver propulsion vehicle and others for a fun outing.
