You will receive training to provide vital first aid that can make a difference to a scuba diver with decompression illness.

DAN has developed this simple four hour DAN Oxygen Provider Course will train you to: recognize the signs and symptoms of a dive injury requiring first aid; administer oxygen to an injured diver with confidence and skill under a variety of conditions and situations. Assemble and use Dan Oxygen Equipment. Activate local EMS and arrange for evacuation of the injured diver while calling DAN for assistance and referral.

The course reviews signs and symptoms of major diving injuries, oxygen delivery systems, recommendations for oxygen use, and the benefits and safety practices of oxygen administration.

The extensive hands on portion of the class encourages familiarity with all components of the easy-to-use DAN Oxygen Unit.

All successful participants receive a DAN Oxygen Provider Card and Recognition materials. This class also applies as one of the SSI Specialty diver classes.

Class cost includes DAN OXYGEN PROVIDER kit with pocket mask. Bring your SSI log book to log off this specialty.
